Asterisk Password Program questions

I have just purchased Asterisk Password today and have many questions that I have been unable to find out about on the web page.

If there are web pages that answer any of my following questions I would appreciate this information.

I am wondering what the "View P.S. Content" is supposed to do in the "FILE MENU" for this program?

When I click on this the program does nothing and locks up and I have to abort it.

I noticed that my version that I just purchased today is version 1.2 but that the web page refers to a newer version 1.3 as the current version.

I would like to know what the difference is between the versions?

Where I can find out about this information on versions and what changes are made as far as getting this information off of a web site?

If I can and should install this new version 1.3 instead of the version 1.2 I now have as of today's purchase?

If I should install version 1.3 can it be installed "on top of" or "over" the version 1.2 I have currently have now on my computer or does version 1.2 have to be uninstall first?

Will my purchase Key be good for new versions in the future?

Can I install the software I have purchased on a new computer if I buy on to replace the old system I am using now?

Thank you for all the answers. Very Happy

Well now I have one more question.

I have never had a board or forum that limits me from editing right away to correct typing errors. This board tells me I have to wait awhile. Does this mean that users cannot correct errors on posts right after they are entered? If so how long does one have to wait to correct errors on this board? I would add that this does not make a whole lot of sense in the event a user posts something in error.....

>> I am wondering what the "View P.S. Content"...
Starts Protected Storage Content Viewer.

>> When I click on this the program does nothing...
What is your operation system?

>> I noticed that my version that I just purchased today is version 1.2...
Latest version available is 1.3v

>> I would like to know what the difference...
Bug fixes and some functional improvements.

>> If I can and should install this new version 1.3...
Version 1.2 is not available from our web site, so your version is from some third party site or software collection. It is highly recommended to update to the current version available from our site.

>> If I should install version 1.3 can it be installed "on top of" or "over"...
No problem.

>> Will my purchase Key be good for new versions in the future?
It will for any minor version updates.

>> Can I install the software I have purchased on a new computer...
Yes.

>> I have never had a board or forum that limits me from editing right away...
90 seconds. It is part of forum protection from spam, attacks, etc...

Thank you for the quick reply. Very Happy I will install the update over the one I have as soon as I can get to it. Smile

My OS is WIN98SE.

The "View P.S. Content" option should work right?.... and SHOULD NOT lock the program up where I have to kill (abort) it right?

Btw, what is "Protected Storage Content" anyway Question

Yes, it has to.

Protected Storage is MS Windows service intended to store passwords and personal data.

I decided to wait longer and found that the "View P.S. Content" does work but fooled me.

When it starts (while the program is running) the function icons do not show and the dropdown list only shows partially behind the the missing icons with only the mouse hour glass as any indicator. So the program gives the appearance that there is a problem as far as maybe nothing happening so I was checking on the status of the program and getting a false status of "Not Responding" which I will explain further....

After awhile with nothing happening I had been using the WIN98SE "Program Monitor" (CTRL+ALT+DEL) and found that the "Program Monitor" had the status for the Astersik Password program as "Not Responding" after a short time so I assumed the program had "died" and aborted it each time using the "End Task" function.

By waiting longer I have found the function does work but takes awhile and that the "Program Monitor" status is misleading.

THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP. Very Happy

Incidently the "log me in each time" check didn't keep me logged in and as a "guest" I was unable to edit. So I logged in and replied to the post and edited some of the "identity" code to make it look like one reply so the post would have my username (lakrsrool) instead of "anonymous" attached to the message. Very Happy

It seems that the forum does not keep me logged in since this has happened before but in the past I had logged back in instead of posting as a "guest" as I did this time. Confused Sorry about the extra "guest" post since I am unable to modify or delete... Wink
