I had outlook 97-2003 then upgraded to 2007, then lost my password, bought your software, software says it found the password, I copy and pasted it as you told the last user, outlook says the password is incorrect ?
Frustrated, what now ? |

Hello,
1) At the bottom of Outlook Password window you can see the Log window. This window stores all events which occurred. You can save it to a text file (right-click and select "Save Log File"). You can also double-click the text and it will appear in Notepad - so you can work with it like with a common text file (copy, paste, edit, save). Please, open your file again and send this log to us or post it here.
2) Is it possible to send your file for examination? |

1) Please, try the following passwords, just in case:
101021623130
ElGBzH
0Tjw02
2) What is your file size? |

the long number string got me through but it it seems that I am missing some file, particularly deleted emails which were in the delted folder.
How did you know the number string ? How can I do this myself next time ?
Last question, the number string still does not recover my original password, how do I do this ??
thanks |

Hello,
As to missing files – it is not password related problem for sure. PST file content is available in full after password verification.
As to exact password recovery and the several passwords issue:
That's due to encryption algorithm used in MS Outlook: For example passwords: "1234", "101207262152" and "2rPvHg" are equal from MS Outlook point of view. There is no way to differentiate original password from group of valid ones - they are the same for MS Outlook.
The problem in your case seems to be in character encoding or something related. We are checking it right now. We can send you special version with the number based password generator after some testing. |
